Dr. Lisa Colgan grew up in Sunapee, NH, graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, and in 2001 received her DVM from Ohio State University. Upon graduation, she returned to the east coast and settled in the North Shore regions of Massachusetts where she spent 15 years working as an associate veterinarian at a small animal practice. Lisa returned to the Upper Valley in 2016, working per diem at local practices and joining Lyme Veterinary Hospital in 2019. Lisa enjoys the broad spectrum of medicine that comes with being a general practitioner, her favorite aspects including general surgery, dental procedures, oral surgery, pain management, and palliative care. She also has an interest in Eastern Medicine alternatives, having graduated from the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine’s veterinary acupuncture class in 2016, as well as receiving her Certified Veterinary Acupuncturist certificate in 2017. When she’s not working, Dr. Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband Quinn and their various pets. She spends as much time as possible outside, running, and traveling around New England visiting family and friends. Lisa regularly donates her time at a zoo and sanctuary in Maine.
